With the bustle of the December holidays, it can be hard to remember to take a moment and breathe. It often feels like we wait all year for this season, and then it goes by in a blur of family, shopping, travel, food, and crowds. We crashland in January, exhausted and overspent (in all senses), only to begin a new year with the tank running on fumes.
Winter Solstice is an excellent time to reflect on the year that’s passed. This time when we enter the darkest night of the year — followed by the ever growing light — is an opportunity to sit, breathe, gift thanks for what has been, and prepare to welcome what will be.
